Onlime vs Dropbox: prices, storage and family plans
Choosing between Onlime and Dropbox starts with how much space you need and how many people will use it. Compare the free allowances, single-user plans and household options below.
Comparison
This comparison covers Onlime Free, Home and Personal Unlimited alongside Dropbox Basic, Plus and Family. Onlime Free is available through social sign-up in the cloud app, separately from the paid plans on the pricing page. The paid entry comparison uses Home 1 TB and Dropbox Plus 2 TB; the price comparison brackets Dropbox Plus with Home 1 TB and 5 TB. Home also offers 10 TB for households. Capacities and user counts differ. Encryption and advanced link controls name the eligible Dropbox plans separately; those features are not attributed to Basic, Plus or Family.

How we compared
We checked Dropbox’s public plan pages on 5 September 2026 and matched them with Onlime’s published plans. Home’s 1 TB and 5 TB options sit either side of Dropbox’s 2 TB allowance. They are the closest family tiers, with different storage and user counts. For annual billing, divide Onlime’s annual total by twelve before comparing it with Dropbox Plus’s displayed monthly equivalent. Dropbox Family’s public page did not display a price, so we cannot make a Family price claim.
Who each service suits
Onlime Home may suit a household of up to five people sharing storage and using Office Online. Your files are stored in Norway or in a country with equal or stricter data-protection law. Onlime Personal Unlimited is the single-user counterpart for someone whose storage needs may grow, with reduced upload speed as described above. Dropbox Plus may suit one person needing 2 TB; Family accommodates up to six members sharing that allowance. Check the named plan before relying on advanced sharing or encryption features.
