Compare cloud storage: what to look for
Start with how much storage you use today and who needs access. A photo library shared by a household needs a different plan from one person’s computer backup. Leave room for new files, then compare the regular price for that capacity.
What to compare
- Ask where your files are stored and which law applies. Your files are stored in Norway or in a country with equal or stricter data-protection law.
- Compare monthly and yearly totals for the storage you need. Check the price after any introductory offer and read the conditions attached to unlimited storage.
- Count the included users and check whether storage is shared. Onlime Home includes up to five people; its terms require family members to live in the same household.
- Distinguish backup from sync. Find out which folders are backed up, how deletions affect synced copies, and how you would restore a file.
- Check whether photo backup runs automatically on your phone and whether it includes videos.
- Confirm that the apps suit your devices. Onlime supports web, Windows, Mac, iOS and Android; Linux access uses a command-line tool.
- Look for support in a language you can use comfortably, and check opening hours before you need help.
- Read the cancellation steps and notice period. Find out when access ends and allow time to download your files before then.

Your files are currently stored at Green Mountain in Stavanger, Norway (EEA). Your files are stored in Norway or in a country with equal or stricter data-protection law.
Your file storage is under Norwegian jurisdiction. Your customer contract with Onlime ApS is governed by Danish law, subject to your mandatory consumer rights.
Intercom processes support and communication data for Onlime in a US workspace. FusionAuth Cloud provides sign-in through a US-hosted service, and Google Workspace processes email. These services may process personal data outside the EEA and are separate from file storage. Information and files you send to support are part of support processing.
